I am starting wonder why the only reviews appearing on You Tube are from amateurs/influencers. Then go on to say how there's a great whining noise like a supercharger coming from the induction which, as anyone who knows anything about cars, knows has nothing to do with making that sound. They start off saying how the refresh has given it more aggressive lines and details at the front despite Mazda only changing the lights. (I get the feeling this pair of reviewers is trying to be the British version of Throttle House.) If you are on the big side you can get some idea of fit - one of the drivers is huge, the other is tall. They also are very positive about the steering feel. New Brit RF review up from that UK drive event a week or so ago, fairly elementary but you do get a chance to hear it on-road and it does sound great on the back roads, the reviewers note that themselves. But, I may have been "reprogrammed" after driving my wife's Macan for the last 3 years. I don't remember this being an issue in my '19. If I get it at the right height for what I would like to see looking through the cockpit out across the hood, I am too far to reach the pedals and the the steering wheel doesn't come back far enough. I am 5'7" and I think this seat needs to be lowered a tad. Screwed around with the seat quite a bit. Did 200+ miles today driving the twists and turns of San Diego County. And this is with and without a lumbar cushion. I am having a hard time finding a good position compared to my '19. ![]() I could not really tell you if I could remember a difference in the sound coming from it though. ![]() You mentioned it here and it confirmed my recollection.įor the sound tube, I noticed that a couple of the components appeared to be larger in diameter than what I remember from my 2019. It has been 3 years since I had it and thought maybe i remembered it incorrectly. I noticed that the folded soft top sat higher than my 2019 GT too. If you have a ‘24, please reply with more opinions. This came as a big surprise – there was not a shred of fakery in what I heard so… whatever they’ve done, I love it. I wish I could’ve had a pre-‘24 (with its sound tube still intact) right next to me, so that I could go back-and-forth to give more reliable feedback, but… I actually found the new tube to be VERY natural sounding, and also highly pleasant. This afternoon, I put the top up on my ‘24, and then listened to the new sound tube for quite a while inside the cabin at various RPMs to about 5K. Probably everybody knows how much I hated my ‘19 sound tube which I quickly removed. I wonder whether this is purely my imagination, or whether maybe a change of height was made to the rubber stops, to prevent over-compression leading to canvas rub/wear marks.ģ. It seems like the folded top sits a bit higher than my ‘19 soft top did, with no way to push it down further. I can’t remember if my old soft top went so far down automatically.Ģ. I noticed that unlatching my top will automatically lower both windows about one-third of the way down. ![]() We apologize for any inconvenience this causes.1.
